Role Overview:
As an Apparel Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing apparel collections that align with our brand’s identity and market trends. You’ll oversee the successful execution of designs from concept to final product.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create Original Apparel Designs: Develop unique and innovative designs for a wide range of apparel, including men’s, women’s, with a focus on cutting-edge fashion trends focusing more on high end market.
• Trend Analysis and Market Research: Conduct in-depth research on current fashion trends, consumer behavior, and competitor analysis to inspire and guide the creation of relevant and marketable apparel collections.
.Design Development: Design detailed technical sketches, including garment construction, silhouettes, color palettes, fabric choices, and trims. Create and refine design concepts for seasonal collections.
• Fabric & Material Selection: Collaborate with suppliers to select fabrics, trims, and other materials. Ensure the materials align with the design vision while maintaining functionality and quality.
• Collaboration with Production Teams: Work closely with production teams, including pattern makers, sample makers, and manufacturers, to ensure the designs are translated accurately into finished garments.
• Software Proficiency: Use design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD tools to create digital illustrations, technical drawings, and production-ready designs.
• Sampling & Quality Control: Oversee the product sampling process, making adjustments and providing feedback as needed to ensure the final product meets quality standards.
Requirements:
· A Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
· 2-3 years of experience in apparel design.
· Strong understanding of fabric types, textiles, and color theory.
· In-depth knowledge of trends in fashion and consumer
preferences.
· Proficiency in technical sketching and the ability to translate ideas into functional designs.
· Experience with pattern making and understanding the manufacturing process.
· Experience in using 3D design software or other advanced design tools is a plus.
· Knowledge of sustainable fashion practices and eco-friendly materials is advantageous.
