Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Welders to join our Chandler Fabrication Shop team. This role is ideal for hardworking professionals who take pride in craftsmanship, enjoy problem-solving, and consistently exceed customer expectations.
We are looking for a skilled Structural Fitter/Welder with industrial experience. Candidates must be able to pass a structural weld test on plate using flux core weld wire.
The ideal candidate will have strong fabrication and welding experience, with the ability to complete projects safely, accurately, and on schedule. We are seeking long-term team members who want a stable and rewarding environment for career growth.
This position involves laying out, welding, installing, evaluating, and repairing steel structures according to plans, specifications, welding codes, and industry standards.
Job Duties
Interpret contract plans and specifications to plan layout, fabrication, installation, and repair of steel structures
Perform FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) and GMAW processes
Structural welding and fitting of steel components
Weld steel grades such as A36 and A572
Select appropriate filler metals and construction materials for each job
Inspect and evaluate installed equipment or systems for defects, hazards, or required adjustments
Work with blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance
Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency in all work performed
Minimum QualificationsRequired:
3–5 years of welding experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Ability to pass a structural welding test
Experience in fabrication shop, construction, mining, or related industry
Working knowledge of welding codes and specifications
Understanding of metal properties, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques
Preferred:
OSHA 10 certification
Strong communication skills
High attention to detail
Ability to learn quickly and stay motivated
Ability to work in a team environment and solve problems
Willingness to travel or relocate as needed
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures
Work in manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environments
Ability to work in confined spaces (tanks, vessels, etc.)
Work on limited or uneven surfaces
Exposure to noise levels above 85 decibels and strong odors
May work in areas with limited visibility
Must comply with all safety regulations and wear required PPE at all time
