Responsibilities
Measure, cut, fabricate, and install glass panels, windows, doors, and custom glazing systems with accuracy and attention to detail
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation aligned with project specifications
Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for glass handling, framing, caulking, and trim carpentry tasks
Perform heavy lifting of glass units and materials while maintaining safety protocols at all times
Install fixtures such as cabinets, mirrors, and other glass-related components in commercial or residential settings
Execute metal stud framing, drywall installation, and construction painting as needed to prepare work sites for glazing tasks
Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects, ensuring seamless integration of glass elements within the overall design
Requirements
Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on glass installation or glazier services
Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., chisels, screwdrivers), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), and fabrication equipment for precise work
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately to guide installation processes
Knowledge of construction estimating practices to assess project scope and material needs effectively
Familiarity with schematics related to fixture installation, cabinet assembly, door hanging, metal stud framing, and remodeling tasks
Physical strength for heavy lifting and the stamina to stand or walk for extended periods during installations
Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction painting, caulking techniques, trim carpentry, and working at heights
Excellent problem-solving skills combined with handyman experience for troubleshooting onsite issues quickly
