Warehouse Operations Manager

Overview

The Warehouse Operations Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the efficient operation of the warehouse, ensuring that all processes are running smoothly and that inventory is managed effectively. Key responsibilities
• Lead and manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Oversee and optimize warehouse processes to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate stock levels and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and supply chain, to coordinate and optimize overall warehouse operations.
• Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory, monitor stock levels, and ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Implement and enforce safety and security regulations to create a safe work environment for all warehouse personnel.
• Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and other external vendors to meet operational needs.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate warehouse performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Optimize layout and organization of the warehouse to facilitate smooth material flow and efficient storage.
• Participate in the development and management of the warehouse budget, including cost control and expense monitoring.
• Lead strategic initiatives to drive operational excellence and enhance overall warehouse performance.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and management to provide regular updates on warehouse operations and performance.
• Resolve any issues or challenges related to warehouse operations in a timely and effective manner.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to warehouse operations, including OSHA and FDA guidelines.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in warehouse operations management, including personnel supervision and process optimization.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using warehouse management systems and related technology to drive operational efficiency.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and implement process improvements based on insights.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
• Thorough understanding of inventory management best practices and their application within a warehouse setting.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and drive operational excellence.
• Proven track record of successfully managing relationships with external vendors and third-party logistics providers.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and standards relevant to warehouse operations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
