Our wholesale team is looking for a talented Warehouse Assistant to join the ONA community as part of our warehouse team. This is a full-time role based out of our headquarters in Fyshwick, Canberra, where you will play a key role in contributing to production.

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for ensuring smooth operation of automated and manual packing machines, sealers, silos, and compressors. Key duties include setting up and operating packaging equipment, retrieving and managing consumables, assembling and packing coffee orders, and preparing customer shipments. The role also involves assisting with the unload of deliveries, monitoring stock levels of roasted coffee, and ensuring proper storage in the warehouse. The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of equipment, and will contribute to general warehouse maintenance and cleaning tasks. This position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.


Essential skills & qualities:

Attention to detail: Ability to follow specific packing protocols, monitor machine operations, and ensure accuracy in labelling and inventory management.

Mechanical aptitude: Comfortable with setting up and operating automated and manual packing machines, as well as performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting.

Organisation and time management: Ability to efficiently manage daily packing tasks, track consumables, and meet tight deadlines for customer orders.

Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify issues with machines or processes and take initiative to find solutions to minimise downtime.

Teamwork and communication: Ability to work collaboratively with the warehouse team, communicate effectively with the Warehouse Manager, and assist with various tasks as needed.
