Taxes & Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Taxes & Compliance Specialist to join our team at OpsMaven.

Key Responsibilities:
• Filing of statutory returns, accounting, and reconciliation for IT, TDS, and GST.
• Making timely payments for TDS, GST, PF, ESI, and PT.
• Providing required information to statutory departments and handling notices.

Export Compliance & Banking Coordination:
• Managing compliance processes for STPI/EDPMS, including documentation and return filings.
• Liaising with banks for reporting foreign inward remittances and reconciling FIRC/BRC.
• Coordinating with STPI authorities for submission of Softex forms and related approvals.
• Tracking and maintaining a database of export transactions, billing cycles, and remittance status.

Finance Operations & MIS Reporting:
• Preparing and monitoring weekly cash flow positions for fund planning.
• Reviewing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Preparing budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for MIS reporting.
• Dealing with lenders/bankers for arranging credit facilities.
• Ensuring EMIs and loans, credit cards are repaid on schedule and accounted properly.
• Coordinating with the HR team and accounts team for salary payments.
• Providing document information to the bank for bill discounting and inward remittance.

Reconciliations:
• Performing weekly and monthly reconciliations of various financial accounts, GL clearing, and intercompany transactions.
• Supporting and providing information to internal and statutory auditors.

Requirements:
• A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in accounting, finance, and taxation.
• Preferably, a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the IT sector.
• Familiarity with banking and accounting software and tax laws.
• Analytical skills with strong attention to detail and great time-management skills.
• Highly organized.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Immediate joiner, qualified or semi-qualified CA/CMA.
• Experience in the IT/service sector.
