About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will be working within the General Ward at Dargaville Hospital, providing quality nursing care and support to patients, utilizing your professional knowledge and skill, to provide a holistic approach of nursing care that is safe and of the highest quality possible. The care you give will enhance the outcomes for patients through education, liaison with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, co-coordinating the treatment and discharge planning processes for patients.

Provision of nursing care is in consultation and partnership with the patient/client/family/ whanau, where the rights and needs of all people are acknowledged within the context of the Treaty of Waitangi.
Provide skilled nursing care through application of clinical knowledge and theory to nursing practice.

About the Team/Service/ Location
You will be working within the General Ward at Dargaville Hospital in a close-knit nursing team and wider community.
Dargaville Hospital provides hospital level and community care to the people of Kaipara. The General ward is a 12-bed ward that in addition also provides acute emergency care and planned procedures.

About you
As a Registered Nurse in a rural environment, you will be flexible, able to work independently and as part a multidisciplinary team. Good communication skills is a must, with the ability to build relationships across all age groups.
Registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate
Recent (within 2 years) clinical experience
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
Good communication skills
Demonstrated ability to practice in a culturally safe manner
