Logistics Associate

We are looking for a proactive and solutions-oriented professional to join our team as a Supply Chain & Distribution Specialist.

Responsibilities:
• Select transport vendors and manage the induction of new transporters, ensuring an adequate number of trucks at operating locations.
• Optimize and induct trucks using triangulation techniques to improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory norms and track transporter performance, addressing terminal escalations and engaging transporters for performance improvements.
• Plan and execute daily schedules for Purchase Orders (POs), docking vehicles as per FIFO, and ensure there are no pending POs for the day.
• Handle operational issues such as loading, decantation, enroute truck issues, incidents, accidents, and diversion of tank trucks. Address off-spec product handling, quality and quantity (QnQ) issues, Proof of Delivery (POD) related problems, and escalate when necessary.
• Ensure timely closure of all supplied material PODs as per the plan.
• Align reverse pickups from different locations for smooth logistics flow.
• Prepare and publish routine logistics MIS reports in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with the sales team, transporters, and terminals to ensure smooth functioning and dispute resolution.
• Preferably possess knowledge of EXIM (Export-Import Management).
• Support the safety and HO logistics teams in accident/incident investigations.
• Manage marine insurance and facilitate dispute closure.
• Monitor daily and monthly performance of Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) and share insights with the HO logistics team for review and improvement.
• Ensure no dry outs or suppressed sales on AZ & FK accounts due to logistics or scheduling issues.
• Develop and implement logistics processes and network optimization using logistics SaaS platforms such as CLICKPOST.
• Intervene and prepare contingency plans in case of transport disruptions.
• Negotiate Freight and Transportation (F&T) charges with Logistics Managers (LMs).

Skills Required:
• 1+ years of work experience in supply chain, logistics, or distribution.
• Patience and the ability to manage relationships with last-mile logistics partners.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
• Strong active listening skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent email writing and verbal communication skills.
