Job Description

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and three to five years’ experience in logistics and supply chain position; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), AX (SAGE) – basic ERP systems training required, Adobe (Acrobat Reader DC), Web browsers (Chrome, Edge…) and Communication tools (Teams, Skype, etc.)
Dangerous goods transportation certificates (IATA, IMO, IMDG, etc.) required (or ability to obtain certificates following training)
Knowledge of international logistics terms and conditions, for example Incoterms, working with Harmonized System codes, customs documents, international Dangerous Goods regulations, international customs regulations, freight forwarding, and basics of accounting

Responsibilities
The Logistics and Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for the logistical aspects of arranging transportation between Microban warehouses in the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia, vendors (raw materials, packaging, finished products, documents), and customers
This position supports the management of all 3rd party warehousing for the US, Canada, and Europe and provides Supply Chain related support across functions for other Microban departments including technology and innovation (samples, labeling, DG information), customer service (transportation information, handling of customer orders), regulatory (preparing labels, ERP system updates), and supply team (purchase orders, production planning) etc
Arranges transportation between 3rd Party warehouses for raw materials and finished products in the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia
Responsible for processing of all intercompany orders between legal entities for internal inventory replenishment
Arranges for logistics of samples shipping to customers
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) master data maintenance (checking delivery schedules, master data entry, revising, hazmat information, harmonized tariff schedule information, etc.)
Prepares purchase orders (all steps: ERP documentation, raw & finished goods transportation, sending notifications to warehouses and vendors, checking invoices, preparing tables and data sheets for accounting)
Checks invoices from vendors (Carriers, Toller invoicing, checking, downloading and transferring)
ERP shipping/delivery information updates for 3rd party warehouses and US/Canada deliveries for all shipments
Prepares Dangerous Goods documents for domestic and international shipments of samples and commercial shipments, air shipments, ocean and over the road freight
Arranges transportation between vendors (raw materials, packaging, finished products, documents) and customers
Supports customer service for freight quotes to customers
Provides support to manage external 3rd party warehouse relationships, contracts, and resolution of issues
Supports internal auditing of 3rd party warehousing to ensure compliance to internal standards
Provides support to other functions, filling in for resources within supply chain, customer service, and on-site warehouse teams when needed
Other projects and support needs as assigned by Manager
