Role Overview:

As an experienced carpenter, you’ll be responsible for both first and second fix carpentry, including roofing. You will also occasionally assist with demolition tasks as needed. This is a hands-on role for someone who is ready to get on site and get the job done with precision and efficiency — no messing about.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform first fix carpentry: framing, floor joists, roofing, and other structural elements.
• Complete second fix carpentry: door frames, skirting boards, architraves, and other finishing touches.
• Execute roofing tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Assist with demolition work as required, ensuring safety and compliance on site.
• Work closely with site managers and other trades to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and uphold health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements:
• Proven experience in first and second fix carpentry.
• Skilled in roofing tasks, with the ability to work independently and solve problems on-site.
• Must have a full set of tools required for the job.
• Ability to undertake occasional demolition work.
• Strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering quality work.
• Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable and punctual with a “can-do” attitude.
• Willingness to travel to various sites across the UK.
