Entry Level Operator

Position Description
Opportunities currently exist for Entry Level Operators. These opportunities are entry level in nature and will be utilized to provide support in various departments throughout the Mill in a variety of positions. As these positions are used to provide relief coverage, the scheduled days and the hours of work can vary depending upon need. The ability to be flexible in your work scheduling is a must.

This entry level position is designed to be a gateway position into the line of progression within our workplace. Candidates within the entry level operator position have the ability to bid on available positions through the various mill departments when they become available. The vacancies are then filled by qualification and seniority.
The successful candidates will be those who are motivated, safety focused and work well as a part of a team.

Qualifications and Experience
Positive attitude towards safety.
Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time.
Mechanical knowledge and aptitude for troubleshooting.
Ability to work alone and in a team environment.
Basic computer literacy skills.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent (required).
Class 5 drivers license (required).
Experience operating heavy duty equipment is considered an asset.
OFA Level 3 is considered an asset.
4th Class Steam Ticket is considered an asset.

Base Salary: $36.11 hourly per the Labour Agreement
