About Us
Catholic Education Sandhurst Limited (CESL) is committed to providing a nurturing and enriching learning environment across the Diocese of Sandhurst. Supporting over 3,000 staff in nearly 60 schools and early childhood facilities, CESL fosters a culture of collaboration, respect, and faith, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people in our care.

The Role
As the Employee Relations Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the Employee Relations, Health and Safety Team, which is part of the broader People and Culture function. You will support the delivery of effective employee relations (ER) services and frameworks, particularly in managing professional conduct matters, coordinating incident responses, and handling historical matters, as well as requests for information. Your contributions will help maintain a safe, respectful, and legally compliant work environment for all CESL employees. This position is ideal for someone with a HR background looking to specialise in employee relations and industrial relations (ER/IR).

Key Responsibilities

Support the team in the provision of ER advice.
Coordinate ER projects, inbox monitoring, and report compilation.
Draft and manage ER/IR documents and professional conduct records.
Coordinate professional conduct responses and manage information sharing requests.
Support industrial relations activities and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
Qualifications and Experience

A current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence is essential.
Experience in preparing clear and concise documentation such as employee letters and reports.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support to a team.
A commitment to the Catholic ethos, with an understanding of Catholic traditions and practices.
Skills and Attributes

General understanding of employment laws, occupational health and safety regulations, and industry standards.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Understanding of ethical standards in ER/IR and a commitment to integrity.
Why Join Us?
At CESL, you will be part of a supportive and collaborative team dedicated to the mission of Catholic education. We offer opportunities for professional growth and development, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of staff and students across the Diocese.
