Carpenter

As a Carpenter, you are a talented builder and critical member of the Benchmark Builders field team. Your team recognizes you as a reliable leader and knowledgeable construction worker who is passionate about efficiently and consistently delivering quality work.

Benchmark Builders is looking for Carpenters for upcoming work in Calgary, AB.

Requirements:
• Must have availability to work days, weekends, and nights
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Commercial Construction, experience in Tenant Improvements and Operational Renovations is preferred
• Experience as a Foreman with a General Contractor, working on projects between $1-10 million
• Demonstrate exemplary leadership, problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to multi task with strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
• Displays ability to work in a team environment
• Experience promoting a strong safety culture and following HSE policies and procedures, with the ability to conduct Toolbox Talks, Safety Meetings, Site Specific Safety Orientations and Safety Reporting
• Able to operate skid steer, forklift and willing to work alongside carpenters as needed
• Own transportation, valid driver's license with satisfactory driver's abstract
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time, push/pull, bend and crouch frequently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and MS Projects are desirable assets
