Position: Android Developer (Kotlin)
Location: Ahmedabad, India
Type: Full-time (Onsite)
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure the quality of the codebase.
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in Android development using Kotlin.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
- Knowledge of MVVM architecture patterns and Android Jetpack components.
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Proficiency in managing databases, specifically SQLite or Room, and using tools like Git.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Firebase services (Cloud Firestore, Push Notifications, Cloud Functions).
- Experience with Kotlin Coroutines for asynchronous programming.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and continuous integration.
