Role Description

Job Description: We are seeking a creative and skilled Video Editor to join our dynamic content creation team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in editing videos for multiple platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook Threads. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creative vision, and an understanding of social media trends.

Responsibilities:

1. Edit long-form podcasts and interviews for YouTube, ensuring engaging content flow and optimal viewer retention.
2. Create short-form content (Reels, Shorts, TikTok) from longer videos, capturing key moments and maintaining audience interest.
3. Adapt content for various aspect ratios (+:16, 16:+, 1:1) to suit different social media platforms.
4. Add captions, graphics, and special effects to enhance video content.
5. Collaborate with content creators to understand and execute their vision.
6. Stay updated on social media trends and platform-specific best practices.
7. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines.
8. Optimize videos for SEO and engagement on each platform.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing work across various social media platforms.
2. Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
3. Experience with motion graphics and audio editing.
4. Understanding of social media algorithms and content performance metrics.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Strong time management and organizational skills.
7. Creativity and a keen eye for visual storytelling.
8. Familiarity with content creation tools for Threads, TikTok, and other emerging platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, or related field.
2. Experience with live streaming and video production.
3. Knowledge of copyright laws and fair use practices.
