About This Opportunity

Are you a visionary technology leader with a passion for driving innovation in the eCommerce space? We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Vice President of Software Engineering to join our team and lead our eCommerce initiatives to new heights. As the VP of Software Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our eCommerce platform, driving technological advancements, and ensuring seamless and exceptional customer experiences.

Our platforms are designed to provide an unparalleled shopping experience, with seamless navigation and robust security measures. Your role will be crucial in maintaining and enhancing these features, ensuring that our eCommerce sites continue to lead the industry in innovation and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
• Oversee the technological direction of some of the largest and most influential eCommerce sites in the country, including name brands such as American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Walmart, Best Buy, McDonald's, and many more that generate over $1 Billion in sales.
• Provides leadership, vision, and management to the eCommerce technology team, and develops appropriate policies and procedures. Manages, coaches, and develops direct reports and team of 30+ members.
• Lead and mentor a team of talented software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Drive the development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies to enhance the performance, reliability, and user experience of our eCommerce platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and customer service, to align technology initiatives with business goals.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and maintainability of our eCommerce systems.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our eCommerce platforms at the forefront of innovation.

Qualifications
• 15+ years of IT Enterprise Applications experience at a high-growth tech company, with a record of excellence of delivery in eCommerce Applications
• In-depth knowledge and, familiarity with modern software development methodologies, and substantial experience in designing, building, including Magento, Camuda , MYSQL and php
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire high-performing engineering teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of driving technological innovation and delivering exceptional results.
• Strong business acumen and an understanding of product and technology transformation with effective agile development and thinking.
• Proven ability to build an organization that is “in service to” clients and customers while delivering operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Experience leading a globally distributed organization and working with remote teams.
• Familiarity and working knowledge on eCommerce platforms and practices is a MUST
• Magento, Camunda, php, BrowserStack, Java, RabbitMQ, MySQL, Sql Server, Cloud Native Development skills ( Azure DevOps, Azure Functions ..etc) , Elastic Search, Kubernates, New Relic, Splunk, Microsoft Power Suite of tools
