OVERVIEW | TOURNAMENT COORDINATOR
We’re looking for an engaging Volunteer Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Volunteer Program for two events on the LPGA Tour, The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican and the ShopRite LPGA Classic.
The ANNIKA is one of the premier professional sporting events in the Tampa Bay area with a focus on giving back to the local community. This one-of-a-kind LPGA Tour event would not happen without our incredible volunteers. Join our team and be a part of why our volunteers look forward to returning year after year.
As the Volunteer Coordinator, you will be responsible for the execution and management of the volunteer program across the event. In addition to serving as the main contact for 500+ volunteers, you will support several areas of the LPGA tournament including special events, hospitality and more. RESPONSIBILITIES + DUTIES (include but are not limited to)
Serve as main contact for 500+ event volunteers
Manage recruitment and coordination of volunteers as well as the online volunteer database for scheduling management and communication plans
Serve as a liaison between event staff and volunteer leadership team
During event week, oversee Volunteer Headquarters, including the food and beverage experience and volunteer services
Manage & execute the volunteer uniform distribution event and all appreciation initiatives
Assist tournament staff in administrative duties such as: correspondence, filing, research, and answering the telephone
Carry out assigned tasks with limited supervision, including coordinating and implementing miscellaneous projects

QUALIFICATIONS
Graduated from an accredited college or university
Previous event and volunteer experience a plus
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Be willing to work weekends and nonstandard hours
Be comfortable working both in office and on-course environments
Strong ability to demonstrate initiative, solve problems and work effectively under pressure while working as part of a team as well as independently
Ability to prioritize assigned multiple tasks, work under pressure, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-oriented environment
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Internet
Collaborative in nature with “no job is too small” mentality
Willingness to work weekends and nonstandard hours
Must be available to work in our Tampa office
