Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Facility Management professional who specializes in cost control and energy savings to oversee the maintenance and operations of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility management, with a focus on implementing strategies to optimize costs and enhance energy efficiency. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage resources, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement sustainable energy practices.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement cost control strategies:
- Analyze facility operational costs and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement cost control initiatives to reduce expenses without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish cost reduction targets and monitor progress.
2. Optimize energy efficiency:
- Assess energy consumption patterns and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Implement energy-saving measures, such as the installation of energy-efficient equipment, lighting systems, and HVAC controls.
- Monitor energy usage, identify anomalies, and implement corrective actions.
3. Budget management:
- Prepare and manage the facility budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Conduct regular cost analysis to identify trends, variations, and areas for improvement.
- Provide recommendations to senior management on budget adjustments and costsaving measures.
4. Maintenance and repairs:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair activities for the facility, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution of issues.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for repairs, maintenance, and service agreements.
5. Compliance and safety:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to facility management, cost control, and energy efficiency.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, maintenance activities, and safety procedures.
6. Team leadership and coordination:
- Lead a team of maintenance staff and contractors, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate and prioritize work orders, ensuring prompt resolution of facility-relatedissues.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and proactive communication.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in facility management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in facility management, cost control, and energy efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with energy management systems, sustainability practices, and energy-saving technologies.
- Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Facility Manager, Certified Energy Manager) are desirable.
