We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Preparer for a permanent position in our Mortgage industry team. This exciting role will see you working with a team of experienced professionals in a fast-paced and challenging environment. You will be responsible for preparing tax returns for individuals and small businesses, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing expert tax advice to our clients. This position offers the opportunity to develop your skills in tax preparation, gain in-depth knowledge of the mortgage industry, and contribute to the financial success of our clients.

Responsibilities
• Prepare accurate tax returns for individuals and small businesses, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Review financial records, income statements, and expenses to determine the appropriate deductions and credits.
• Provide expert tax advice to clients, helping them to understand their tax obligations and potential tax-saving opportunities.
• Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
• Work closely with other team members to provide comprehensive financial services to our clients.
• Use tax preparation software to streamline the tax preparation process and ensure accuracy.
• Assist with tax audits and tax planning strategies.
• Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.

Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in tax preparation, preferably in the mortgage industry.
• Strong knowledge of tax law and regulations, particularly as they relate to individuals and small businesses.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software.
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and understandable way.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest level of professional ethics and integrity.
