Support Worker (Children's Respite) - Live Life Disability Support (Nelson)
Do you have experience working with children and/or young people or experience in the disability field?

Respite needs are highest over weekends and school holidays.

About the Role

As a Support Worker (Children's Respite), you willbe supporting children and young people to access our children's respite service to ensure quality of life outcomes based at our respite house in Stoke.

From an active child-centered approach, support workers facilitate opportunities for the children and young people to have short stays in a home away from home setting whilst receiving excellent support. We work in collaboration and partnership with whanau and families to deliver a positive experience for families and their children.

We are recruiting for a couple of positions (as rostered/ part-time and casual) working a range of shifts and hours

Your hourly rate will be $25.37 to $31.13 an hour, dependent upon your qualifications as recognized under the Care and Support Workers (Pay Equity) Settlement Act 2017.
Sleepovers (10.00PM to 7.00AM) are paid at the adult minimum wage rate.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Live Life Disability Support (LLDS) provides support to people who have disabilities to live great lives in the Nelson Marlborough community.

We support people to manage their day to day lives in ways and at times that work for them. The people we support have a wide range of abilities, gifts and challenges. We actively encourage people to pursue their dreams and try out new experiences and can guarantee that no two days working at Live Life DSS are ever the same.

Our main locations are Nelson and Wairau, but we are spread across the region and service all parts of the community. Our work can be challenging, but we are up for it. We have a great team, and we work hard to make a difference.

About you

Applicants must have a full NZ Driver License and be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
