Job description
Key Responsibilities: Supply Chain Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement strategies to improve overall supply chain efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborate with senior leadership to align supply chain goals with business objectives. Forecast demand and plan inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock. Procurement & Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with key suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and performance. Evaluate supplier performance, quality, and delivery reliability, and initiate corrective actions when necessary. Manage procurement processes, including purchase orders, vendor selection, and cost analysis. Inventory & Warehouse Management: Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies for optimizing stock levels and minimizing waste. Ensure the effective management of warehouses, including storage, inventory rotation, and order fulfillment. Implement systems to track and manage inventory and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and records. Logistics & Distribution: Oversee transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations to ensure on-time delivery of products to customers. Analyze shipping and transportation methods to identify opportunities for cost reductions and process improvements. Work closely with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure high standards of service and compliance. Performance Metrics & Reporting Establish and track KPIs to measure supply chain performance (e.g., order fulfillment rates, inventory turnover, lead times). Analyze data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for optimization. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on supply chain performance and progress toward goals. Risk Management & Compliance Monitor potential supply chain risks, including disruptions in supply or logistics, and develop contingency plans. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety, environmental, and quality standards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of supply chain trends and best practices. Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP, Six Sigma) is a plus. Experience: 2+ years of experience in supply chain management or operations, including at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role. Technical Skills: Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS, TMS), MS Excel, and data analysis tools. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and collaborate with cross-functional departments. Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior leadership and stakeholders. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to address supply chain issues in real time.
