Job Description

Carers SA is the premier provider of Carer services in South Australia, delivering the federally funded Carer Gateway service across both metropolitan and regional service areas.

About the Role
This exciting position will play an integral role in raising awareness in the community about the important role of Carers and the services available via Carers SA and the Carer Gateway. The role will also:

Engage and connect with stakeholders across the community services. sector to build partnerships and raise awareness about supports available for Carers.
Be proactive in community engagement through conducting information sessions with Carers and other key agency stakeholders across the State.
Embed and maintain processes within Carers SA that support staff to access service provider information relevant for Carers.
Drive demand and referral into Carers SA services and supports through effective community engagement with Carers and stakeholders in the community.
We are looking for candidates who have:

Knowledge and understanding of the community services sector and the issues facing Carers in the community.
Experience in coordinating community events and activities.
Ability to work effectively individually as well as part of a team.
Experience in developing collaborative partnerships and relationships with external stakeholders across diverse sectors as well as stakeholders internal to an organisation.
Experience in creating, maintaining and supporting effective partnerships and relationships including the ability to undertake and facilitate forums with key stakeholders.
Experience in public speaking and coordination of working parties and consultation forums.
Experience in planning and scheduling work to meet deadlines.
