Staff Accountant

PrideStaff Financial is partnering with our growing client who is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team.

The Accountant is responsible for supporting the following accounting functions: monthly and quarterly close, general ledger, accruals, reconciliations, intercompany allocations, balance sheet and income statement analysis. There will also be opportunity to take on ad-hoc projects and streamline processes.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the accurate execution of month-end close
• Prepare reconciliations of all accounts required for divisional and group reporting {cash, prepaids, fixed assets, AP, accrued expenses, revenues / expenses}
• Prepare monthly journal entries
• Accountable for meeting all month-end closing deliverables and preset deadlines
• Prepare supporting schedules and ad-hoc analysis according to monthly close schedule
• Analyze financial statements on a monthly basis and report unusual or significant variances
• Work with external auditors to provide support through audits and bank reporting
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and ensure supporting documentation

Experience you offer:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting
• 1+ years of experience in accounting or related role, public accounting experience is a plus
• Solid understanding of GAAP

Additional experience:
• Experience with financial systems a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; strong with Microsoft Excel (vlookups and pivot tables)
• Highly detail oriented, organized and ability to meet assigned deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees and leadership.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $65,000.00 - $80,000.00
