Staff Accountant/Finance Specialist – Part Time (Flexible hours & days)

Our Client is a manufacturer and distributor of aircraft fasteners/components located in Mesa, AZ. We are looking for an accounting clerk / finance administrator to join our team on a part time basis as a Staff Accountant. Hours can be flexible, Monday - Friday.

There are no offered benefits, other than sick time. Weekly hours required for this position varies from 20-25 dependent upon work load and employee availability. Perfect job for a college student, parent of school age children, or retiree.

We are a growth oriented company, with both on site manufacturing and distribution. We are searching for a staff accountant to join our finance team.

Job Duties:

· Secondary focal (back up) for accounts payable (invoice entry, reconciliation to receipt of product, credit card payments and reconciliation thereof to the General Ledger (G/L)).

· Support for accounts receivables, related party billing and reporting, problem resolution, cash processing and reconciliation, payments, aged tracking, and reconciliation to the G/L.

· Secondary focal (back up) for customer credit reference checks and establishment of open payment terms.

· Assists with the preparation of consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.

· Primary for Cycle Count facilitation and reporting. Streamline and improve inventory accounting and analysis of cost variances.

· Recommends improvements to current accounting policies and procedures.

· Serve as back-up in multiple areas including, sales reporting.

· Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.

· Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing assigned tasks timely and accurately.

· Assists in the preparation of information for the bank, financial & benefits audits and participates in the annual financial audit.

· Supports and provides analysis for annual budget and standards cost revision.

· Supports as needed data manipulation and analysis – this will grow as the ERP system is mastered.

· Supports creation of briefing packages (power point).

Skills/Qualifications:

· Team player who can work in a dynamic and demanding work environment

· Proficient user of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.) - must be proficient with excel functions, i.e. lookup, pivot tables, etc.

· Deadline and Task Completion Oriented

· Ability to Manage Multiple Tasks at the Same Time

· Demonstrated process improvement skills and problem solving

· Attention to detail (very important)

· Good Math Skills

· Confidentiality

· Strong Written and Verbal Communication

Education/Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting

· Minimum 3 years of related work experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
