The Conversation Platform is key to the success of the Service Cloud Digital Engagement portfolio. Conversation Platform plays a key part in enabling the Conversational Service business by providing persistence services and enabling intelligent services. With the onset of AI and ML, particularly Generational AI, Conversation Platform can help build powerful intelligent recommendations for Agents and Supervisors across all channels. This, in turn, will drive up Agent productivity, enhance the end user experience and serve as a strategic differentiator for the Digital Service business.
Our vision is to build services and components of a new conversation platform built on a new tech stack. You will deliver services that can scale to serving millions of requests a day with high availability and performance. You will have a chance to influence the technical roadmap as we build Microservices on Hyperforce in building Real-time communication and conversation services.
You will be working on a core platform which is used by external and internal teams writing software to manage everything from building and scaling code and infrastructure, to dynamically load balancing and enabling flexible service lookups across a variety of technologies and data-stacks.
The Conversation Platform is spread across the US and has significant presence in India. As we expand our footprint in India, we are looking for a technical leader who can not only function as an individual contributor and deliver software but also helps coach and mentor the team, bring in best practices and build a strong relationship with the senior engineers and leaders across the globe as we grow our teams in India.
Responsibilities
Architect and implement features on the Conversation Platform Service as well as the Conversation Storage Service which is an AWS Aurora DB. Build the integration with Salesforce Data Cloud as we trail the blaze in brining all Customer data in one place.
Build and enable availability tracking and monitoring of the owned services.
Operate in an Agile development environment, including participating in daily scrums
Support the team’s engineering excellence by performing code reviews and mentoring junior team members
Collaborate with stakeholders and other senior engineers across the globe.
Required Skills/Experience
Industry experience 5 to 12.
Education. M.Tech/M.E in Computer Science/Engineering or B.Tech/BE in same disciplines with equivalent years of experience
Distributed systems and data engineering. Expertise in designing, implementing and operating high-scale distributed systems architectures and concepts, including the following:
High-performance, high-availability (++.+++%) and self-recoverable systems
Large scale infrastructure systems
Docker-based development.
REST, gRPC, MicroServices, Orchestration
Programming. Proficiency in object-oriented and multi-threaded programming in at least one of the following languages: Java, J2EE, Kotlin, C#
Database. RDBMS and NoSQL: AWS Aurora, SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo, Cassandra
Software design. Demonstrated expertise in applying systems patterns (e.g., Client-server, N-tier, Master/Slave, MVC) and API constructions (e.g., Swagger, OpenAPI)
Communication. Excellent oral and written communication skills
Team. Ability to value team success beyond personal contributions
Desired Skills/Experience
Experience with Instrumentation tools like AppDynamics, Splunk, Statsd & Instrumental
Experience building high volume and highly scalable online services
Knowledge of Big Data technologies like Elastic Search, Kafka, Hbase, Spark, etc
Experience with the Salesforce CRM application and platform
Experience operating highly available services
