Coverage
- Scoping and scanning the market for origination of deals; Identify potential transactions, generate leads, engage with bank relationship managers to convert the lead into a transaction
- Do cold calling and reach out to clients, wherever necessary
- Assist and/or prepare pitches with market and industry landscapes, financial analysis & valuations, target companies profiles & benchmarking, pricing and market information
- Analysis and interpretation of financial statements including preparing trading and transaction comparable, modeling & valuations and benchmarking for companies. Extract information from company annual reports, databases and other sources, etc
- Source and interpret company & industry information from a variety of data sources (company reports, Internet, online databases, inhouse research, subscribed databases, etc) with an aim to forming views on the industry, key trends and individual companies.
- Preparation and submission of bid proposal with Banks/FIs/govt agencies for RFP based mandates
- Track target companies on an ongoing basis for performance, potential fund raise activities, etc
- Prepare & update board meeting presentation from time to time
- Work closely with other coverage team members and help them as necessary for their presentations/pitchbooks
ECM
- Monitor market trends, prepare and periodically update standard data templates including capital market data and commentary
- Ownership analysis
- Investor identification and targeting for pitches
- Periodically update India holders, analyzing sectoral investor movement, etc
- Information & data organization
- Preparation of company snapshots/teasers and any other documentation or information that may be required by potential investors to facilitate successful deal closure.
- Updating of bid analysis file, contact file for DII & FIIs, calendar of events & conferences, periodic analysis of top holders of India, weekly FII/DII fund flow in cash segment, weekly index movement, etc
- Prepare company profiles/teaser, deal snapshot/ housekeeping sheets, investor profiles, price related data, peer comparables, valuation matrix, shareholding pattern, historical deal details, etc
- Summarize and track deals by competitors
- Maintain necessary MIS and trackers for work done on mandates
- Cross Functional
- Coordinate with Institutional Equities (Research & Sales) on an ongoing basis for deal related dissemination, premarketing, feedback at various stages of a transaction; address concerns, bid coordination, etc
- Interact with corporate finance team for process/document/issuer specific issues
- Interact with Compliance on a case-to-case basis
- Roadshow Management
- Coordinate with other lead managers investor allocation, proposing & rolling-out slots, etc
- Overall roadshow logistics incl. travel, food & local logistics arrangements
- Prepare and distribute roadshow schedules to management and other lead managers
- Prepare management for investor meetings with investor presentation dry run and detailed FAQ discussions

- Reasonable understanding of capital markets and products with ability to identify fund raise requirements from corporates;
- Working knowledge of databases such as Bloomberg, FactSet, CapitaLine, Venture Intelligence, VCC Edge, etc.
- MS Office skills - should be good in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and MS Word
