Job Description
This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.
Required Qualifications:
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and experience
• Fluency in DB technologies and tools, DB development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of working effectively with Development Engineering and other functions
• technology 7+ years of DBA Hands on experience in Database like PostgreSQL, MySQL and other database opensource technology
• Minimum 3+ year of experience in handling AWS RDS (Aurora PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Experience in a 24X7 production environment and large team.
• Experience analyzing issues holistically, from the application tier through the database, down to the storage.
• Broad awareness of customer workloads and use cases, including performance, availability, and scalability.
• Experience building and maintaining complex mission-critical production database systems.
• Experience in root cause analysis, remediation, and problem resolution for complex systems.
• Working knowledge in database systems architecture, including networking, security, scaling, and fault-tolerance.
• Experience working directly with internal and/or external customers in database software development and support.
Experience in
· AWS RDS expert with at least 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience administering and troubleshooting and performance tuning of RDS PostgreSQL.
· AWS: 2+ Experience in other services like RDS Mysql/MSSQL, Redshift, Athena, S3 DataLake, EMR, Lambda, Kinesis, Glue, Lake Formation, DynamoDB, CloudWatch
· Setup/Managing Databases on Amazon RDS like MySQL and Amazon Aurora.
· Hands on experience on Creating/Managing/Upgrading Aurora PostgreSQL/MySQL
· Knowledge on AWS services and Resources Bills.
· Experience in Performance monitoring, Security, Troubleshooting, Backup, Disaster Recovery, Maintenance, and Support of AWS Cloud env.
· Good Communication, Interpersonal, and Client Interfacing skills with the ability to manage work pressure and timelines effectively.
Added advantage having Work experience on
· Redshift administration.
· SQL work bench/DB Visualizer/CLI for redshift environment.
· Experience in Unload and Copy commands.
• Definition of RDS instance requirements (defining compliance, engine type, instance class, license deployment, region, availability zones, subnet groups, security groups, etc.)
• Proficiency tuning RDS databases for performance, availability, and scalability.
Preferred Qualifications
· Certification in AWS Database Specialty
