An employee-owned multidisciplinary consultancy with over a century of success is expanding its Tauranga office and looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to help lead the delivery of regionally critical land development and infrastructure projects.

About the Role
You’ll step into a senior position within a well-supported and technically strong team. Working closely with internal specialists (planning, surveying, transport, water, urban design), you’ll have the autonomy to run your own projects while playing a hands-on role in design delivery, stakeholder engagement and mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities
Leading the civil design and delivery of land development and infrastructure projects from concept through to construction
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on integrated project solutions
Providing technical oversight (12d), QA and guidance to the wider team
Working with clients, contractors, and councils to ensure seamless delivery
Supporting proposals, bid work and client relationship development
About You
You’re an experienced civil engineer with a solid background in land development and infrastructure delivery. You know your way around local consenting processes and have a reputation for getting things done — well. You enjoy mentoring others and want to be part of a high-performing, down-to-earth team.
Requirements
6+ years’ civil engineering experience within NZ consultancies
Strong land development experience (greenfield, brownfield, infrastructure)
Proficiency in 12d
Sound understanding of local authority codes, standards and consenting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
CPEng or working toward it (support provided)
Bonus points for project management experience and client-facing confidence
