About the Job The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, general ledger management, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. This role ensures the accuracy of financial records and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The Senior Accountant will work closely with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making and improve internal controls. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in financial reporting and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Support the budgeting and forecasting process by analyzing financial data and variances.

Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.

Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and internal controls.

Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and related journal entries.

Work closely with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other finance team members to ensure smooth financial operations.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
