Secure Transport Officers
Do you enjoy a flexible schedule, traveling for work, and a spontaneous, ever-changing work day? Then you might be the person we are looking for to join our team! Locally owned security company is looking to hire full-time security officers. Full-time officers must reside in Anchorage. We are urgently hiring for 4 FT officers.
We are an emergency transport company, meaning employees could be called to transport anytime 24 hours a day, 6 days a week. Average hours range from 30-50 per week with 30% of those hours being paid at the overtime rate. Secure Transport Officers transport patients struggling with behavioral health issues, by car and by airplane, between facilities, within the city, state, and occasionally nation.
Tasks, Duties, Responsibilities:
Answer phone calls from company personnel, regardless of time, 7 days a week
Travel via car and airplane as required to provide secure transport for patients on short notice
Interact with patients and get them from point A to point B safely, providing a positive environment
Complete paperwork (vehicle logs, duty logs…etc) and submit in a timely manner
Network with clients on site to develop business relationships
Officers must be able to problem solve, think outside the box, work well independently and on a team, and exercise sound judgement in stressful situations. They must have the ability to communicate effectively with both patients, staff, medical personnel, dispatch, and maintain professional composure in potentially difficult and intense situations.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug test (narcotics, marijuana, tobacco/nicotine…etc), and have a good driving record. Preferred Experience:
Prior Military or Contractor
Prior Law Enforcement/Corrections/Probations/Security
Prior Medic, EMT, or medical training
Prior Mental Health training
While experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate
Starting pay at $18.00 an hour for training period. Once fully trained, pay will increase to $20 an hour, with performance-based increases available up to $26 per hour.
