Job Description

Role Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Release/Change Management lead in the delivery of software assets for the Retail Digital Channels portfolio. The candidate will assist in the delivery of many strategic programs, enable comunication between delivery units & management teams by their work predominately focused on Release and Change Management. The candidate will be expected to Co-ordinate and manage the scheduling, planning, and controlling the software's development and delivery process. Responsible for the Release Management lifecycle that involves the stages such as scheduling the release, coordinating between teams, and deployment of release as per the schedule and within budget. Need to ensure that there are 0 post production issues due to release process by ensuring that co-ordination happens between teams and the correct version of the code gets deployed to Production..

The successful candidate will be an experienced Release/Change Lead with a track record in delivering multiple concurrent, complex projects in a regulated environment, ideally within a financial institution's context. The candidate should have experience working with teams distributed across multiple countries and experience working with program management teams to implement desired high-quality software assets with flexible prioritisation in a Scrum based model. The successful candidate is expected to:
• Follow a structured approach to Release of software delivery within the team
• Align with the development plans and change agenda of greater team
• Participate in and drive through the release process for the entire Hive consisting of many Squads
• Manage dependencies of all technical deliverables and releases
• Enforce sound technical standards adherence in all Release deliverables
• Be active in suggesting positive change for peers and partner teams
• Advocate best practice release and change management protocols for developments consisting of multiple streams.
• Take ownership and accountability of the entire release lifecycle

Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Ability to handle software infrastructure management & configuration management
• Min 5 years' experience Release and Change Management and min 2 yrs in team Management & project management.
• Experience in Coordinating the release schedule and resources required depending upon the third-party applications, defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates
• Capable of Managing risks and resolving challenges that impact release scope, quality, and schedules
• Should have strong knowledge in Agile software delivery, DevOPs and other Release Management tolls and process
• Experience with leveraging advanced features and tools in Atlassian software suite
• Passion and flair for technology, at home with team-oriented, collaborative, and consultative environment
• Proven skills in co-ordination, staff management and leadership working with vendors and internal teams.
• Managing risks and resolving challenges that impact release scope, quality, and schedules
• Strong knowledge of risk and regulatory delivery
• Good knowledge on Release management and deployment coordination activities
• Knowledge of all aspects of software Release activities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Should have a good analytical skills.
• Contribute to creation of standards & frameworks for the project
• Should have the capability to handle more than one project at a same time.
• Follow documented Release life cycle as per quality management standards
• Drive and ensure Participation in Release planning meetings and solution meetings
• Track overall Release and Change management for all Squads under a Hive

Training, licenses, memberships and certifications

Banking Domain Knowledge is preferable
• Knowledge on DevOps and other related Release Management tools
• Experience in handling Multiple releases with cross dependencies and component overlaps
• Knowledge & Experience in practising Release / Change Management lifecycle process
• Knowledge / Experience in DevOps
• Experience in handling projects of mobile/online banking platform
• More than 5+ years' experience in software Release/Change management and 2+ years in team Management & project management
