Refrigeration Engineer

About the Company: A renowned company of Saudi Arabia is looking for Ammonia Refrigeration Engineer.

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ammonia Refrigeration Engineer to oversee the execution of refrigeration projects and lead ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial cold storage facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of ammonia-based systems, mechanical and electrical components, and proven leadership in supervising plant erection and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, planning, and execution of ammonia refrigeration system projects.
• Selection of compressors, condensers, evaporators, receivers etc for projects.
• Prepare complete BOQ and material take off list for bidding etc.
• Supervise the maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of industrial cold rooms and refrigeration plants.
• Manage the mechanical side of plant erection and installation works, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards.
• Provide basic electrical diagnostics and support in coordination with electrical teams.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and P&IDs to support accurate implementation and diagnostics.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians; assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure high-quality workmanship.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and safety standards related to ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Maintain documentation, logs, and reports of maintenance and project activities.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Operate company vehicle to visit sites and carry out field inspections and supervision.

Qualifications:
• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in ammonia refrigeration systems, preferably in industrial or cold storage environments.

Required Skills:
• Strong knowledge of ammonia-based systems.
• Mechanical and electrical components expertise.
• Proven leadership in supervising plant erection and maintenance teams.

Preferred Skills:
• Experience in industrial or cold storage environments.
