Annual Salary: NZD$+5,800.08 plus KiwiSaver Employer contribution equivalent to 6% of salary.

We also act on behalf of various Australian Government authorities by representing Australia's interests to local, regional and multilateral government and business organisations in New Zealand.

We are on the lookout for someone who has:

Demonstrated experience managing property through its life cycle, procurement, and maintenance.
Highly developed communication and liaison skills, including demonstrated ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
Critical thinking and analysis skills to help our team get the most from our property portfolio.
Demonstrated ability to set priorities and organise workloads to achieve outcomes and meet deadlines in response to changing operational environments.
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor staff, and to work effectively with other team members, in a culturally diverse environment.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office suite and the ability to pick up new systems easily.
Qualifications in property or project management are desirable.
Require a current and full New Zealand Driver Licence with no convictions.
What you will be doing:
The Property Manager position manages the property portfolio of the Australian High Commission including the office (Chancery), official residence, and leased residences.
This position manages procurement and contract management of property related services, transport plans and office set-up for official visits, financial budgets, and supervision of staff.
A key focus of the role is leadership of a small team and coordination and interaction with internal and external partners and suppliers to ensure properties are functional and able to operate effectively.
Manage the procurement and management of property service contracts for the High Commission, official residence, and staff residences, in accordance with departmental guidelines, which includes residential leases, repair and maintenance work, and other property related projects.
Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules, including liaison with maintenance contractors, fault reporting and facilitating and supervising access.
Manage residential leases including negotiation and rent reviews, auditing operating expenses, control of lease liabilities and terminations as required.
Oversee accounting administration in relation to utilities and other services to owned and leased premises in accordance with departmental financial policies and procedures and assist with post reporting as required.
Lead and support the team responsible for the delivery of corporate facilities, event management, office set-up for official visits and fleet management, including transport plans and mailroom services.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including building management, landlords, local authorities and partner agencies, key suppliers, and service providers.
Maintain and enhance workplace health and safety systems, including emergency procedures and risk management, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
Perform other duties as directed.
