Pre-Press Designer (Packaging Design)

Umendra Exports Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Pre-Press Designer with expertise in packaging design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and finalizing artwork for print production, ensuring accuracy, compliance with printing standards, and high-quality output. The role requires a strong understanding of pre-press processes, color management, and packaging materials.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and finalize print-ready files for various packaging formats, including cartons, labels, tubes, pouches, and shrink sleeves.
• Ensure accurate color reproduction, print alignment, and compliance with industry standards.
• Work with die lines (KLDs), embossing, foiling, varnishing, and other special finishes.
• Perform proofreading and quality checks to ensure error-free artwork before approval.
• Optimize designs for different printing techniques (offset, flexo, digital, screen printing).
• Coordinate with printers, packaging vendors, and production teams to troubleshoot any pre-press issues.
• Maintain a structured file management system for archiving and version control.
• Stay updated with the latest printing technologies, software, and design trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Graphic Design, Printing Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 2–5 years in packaging pre-press and print production.
• Software Proficiency: CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Figma.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of CMYK, Pantone color matching, trapping, bleed, and overprinting.
• Attention to Detail: Strong proofreading skills to eliminate errors before printing.
• Quick Learner: Ability to adapt to new software and evolving design trends.
