About the role:
The Plant Manager will be responsible for managing a function within the internal reconditioning process of pre-owned vehicles. This may include overseeing automotive inspections, repairs, detailing, and final preparation for sale. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in automotive reconditioning, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering top-notch results.
What you'll do:
Manage reconditioning processes for all incoming pre-owned vehicles.
Coordinate with technicians, detailers, and vendors to ensure timely and high-quality work.
Ensure all vehicles meet company standards before being made available to customers on our website.
Maintain inventory of reconditioning supplies and equipment.
Implement and enforce safety procedures and guidelines.
Monitor and analyze reconditioning performance metrics.
Train and mentor reconditioning staff to maintain high performance and quality standards.
Work cross functionally with other departments to align reconditioning efforts with sales goals.
Develop and implement new processes to increase the efficiency of the department.
We're looking for:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in automotive repair is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive reconditioning or a related field.
Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and overtime as required.
Proven experience in managing a team of technicians and detailers.
Strong knowledge of automotive repair, detailing, and inspection processes.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Team player and willing to jump in and lead by example.
