Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and repairing walls or structures to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality.
Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools.
Execute residential painting projects with precision, including wall coatings, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and restoration work.
Perform commercial painting tasks on various surfaces like stucco, masonry, concrete finishing, and industrial coatings.
Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope and specifications for renovation or remodeling jobs.
Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project requirements and materials needed for efficient job completion.
Handle specialized tasks such as welding, plastering, masonry work, framing carpentry, drywall installation, and basic math calculations for measurements.
Maintain safety standards on construction sites by using proper equipment and following protocols during construction painting or site maintenance activities.
Collaborate with team members including carpenters and maintenance person professionals to ensure seamless project execution.
Keep detailed records of work performed, materials used, and project progress for accountability and future reference.
Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of residential and commercial painting techniques.
Familiarity with construction site operations including blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and renovation processes.
Skilled in the use of hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, power tools including airless sprayers and welding equipment.
Knowledge of surface preparation methods like plastering, stucco application, masonry work, concrete finishing, and fixture installation.
Ability to perform demolition or remodeling tasks along with maintenance duties on existing structures.
Basic math skills for measurements and estimations; experience with construction estimating is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship in all aspects of painting and finishing work.
Construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and ability to work efficiently in diverse environments.
