Operations Risk Head | Banking |16|22 yrs

Job Responsibilities :

- Lead implementation of enterprise-wide operational risk strategy and policy and work closely with all businesses and support functions

- Oversight of the Operational Risk team as a second line of defense in execution and management of the operational risk framework

- Support the Chief Risk Officer to manage and constantly enhance the Risk Management Committee reports to ensure the dashboard on risk performance is well developed and appropriate.

- Own and drive the process of embedding the operational risk framework throughout the business areas and contribute to the risk and control culture of the organization through knowledge sharing and awareness on the importance of risk management

- Engage with stakeholders at Senior Management levels and Risk and Compliance functions providing support on risk based decision making and assurance that controls are functioning well within the first line of defense.

- Influence and monitor progress of action plans to improve the risk and control environment arising from risk assessments, risk monitoring, internal and external audits and regulatory inspections

- Build and maintain credible relationships with internal and external stakeholders including external and internal audit

- Promote an appropriate culture of awareness and attention to Operations risk throughout the bank in line with evolving regulatory requirements

- To report, assess, measure, monitor and control and report operational risks for the bank and evaluate whether the risk management practices are in line with the operational risk strategies and policies.

- Monitor and report key risk indicators for each function

- Analysis and reporting of Operational loss events

- Continuous interactions with functions to reinforce the objectives of Operational Risk in strengthening of processes

- To facilitate the Risk and Control Self Assessments by active participation and verifying the results of such assessments

- Develop and implements Ops risk strategies to mitigate risks arising out of Operational risk events in the operations of the bank

- Implement Ops risk framework and conduct ORMC meeting at periodical interval
