About Meridian OneCap
The role: *Please note - this is a 8-month co-op opportunity*
Meridian OneCap (MOCC) is seeking placements as part of COOP term as Operations Specialist
This role supports the Operations & Transformation team in achieving their goals nationally while gaining valuable hands-on experience as we continue our transformation journey. Operations reviews, process improvements and simplified customer process and touchpoints will be a critical part of the digital evolution of OneCap and support our core system replacement project.

As an Operations Specialist you will learn the business and put your education to work, supporting functional areas (sales, sales support, credit, funding, risk management, new program onboarding) in maintaining, developing, and improving product offerings and functional processes related to equipment finance.
You will be exposed to and participate fully in various initiatives relating to improving business processes across the organization. Depending on the scope / size of the project, this may involve: gathering of business requirements; providing input into the design and integration of proposed solutions; analysis of internal processes; capturing data to discuss and bring forward potential changes, improvements, and areas of focus; contract review; and leverage project management skills to manage small project implementations.

You have administrative experience & operational knowledge built on some formal education. You must be dedicated & motivated! To learn, grow & work hard! A self-starter, independent & accountable. You ask questions, have a real interest in driving improvements.
What we are looking for – disciplines and experience /exposure to:
Ability to read and comprehend legal documentation.
Process improvement methodology (Lean, 6 Sigma)
Project Management/ coordination for oversight of small projects
Understanding of Change management
Technology savvy and ability to leverage technology to recommend/create efficiencies in day-to-day operations
Excellent organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (including written, verbal and listening) and people skills
Ability to take initiative and build relationships achieve objectives in a hybrid work environment
Curiosity and willingness to dig in
Comfort learning and adopting new digital tools, with an openness to using AI‑enabled technology to enhance productivity, accuracy, and the Member experience.
This role represents a new vacancy. Internal candidates are being considered as part of our standard process.
Salary Range: CAD $27.00/hour
Compensation for this role is based on a combination of skills, experience, and internal equity. Candidates with stronger alignment to the role’s requirements may be placed higher within the range. Your recruiter will share more information about our total rewards package during the hiring process.
Office Location: Toronto Corporate Offices. This is a hybrid opportunity.
Meridian OneCap has a remote work policy that allows flexibility for employees to work remotely but also requires our employees to attend the office minimum one day per week.
