Mobile Events Ice Cream Server, Seasonal

Crema is a local Artisan Ice Cream business that brings fun and unique international ice cream flavours, as well as classic flavours with a twist!

We are family owned and operate in various locations throughout the lower mainland at private and public events.

We are in need of friendly, highly motivated, and hard working Mobile Event Ice Cream Servers to start immediately! This is a Seasonal position running from May-September.

This job is for you if you love ice cream and you are passionate about providing exceptional customer service. You have a strong arm to sling scoops in fast environments while keeping positive vibes throughout. You have a flexible schedule, with priority on weekends and have a driver's license (minimum driving experience of 2 years).

Key responsibilities:

- Operate business van, and load in equipment to set up for events, including small ice cream cart/ serving units.

- Drive with staff from Burnaby and bring small mobile units to private and public events within the lower mainland (cities include: Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby and Surrey).

- Set up small mobile carts in preparation and teardown of private and public events.

- Offer exceptional customer experience.

- Drive sales by connecting with customers and offer recommendations.

- Process orders using a point-of-sale terminal, debit/credit machine and handle cash.

- Scoop ice cream and prepare orders.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in a FoodSafe environment.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand 4+ hours and lift up to 50lbs.

- Repetitive tasks, using your wrists, arms, and hands.

Qualifications:

- Class 5 Driver's License, with a clean driving record (required)

- FoodSafe Level (1 required)

- Post Secondary Education or equivalent

- 2+ years of experience in fast-paced retail or hospitality environments.

- Enthusiastic, people person, and a responsible team player that can also work independently.

- Motivated problem solver with a passion for quality.

- Excited about working for and contributing in a growing locally owned business.

- Available weekends with some flexibility on weekdays. Blackout period is from June to August.

- Speaks second language is a bonus
