Role Description
As a Financial and Business Planner, you will play a critical role in developing and executing strategic financial plans to drive the success and growth of the organization. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of financial analysis, forecasting, and business planning activities aimed at optimizing financial performance and mitigating risks. You will collaborate closely with various departments and senior management to ensure alignment between financial objectives and overall business goals. As a Business and Finance Analyst , you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our omni channel business.
Responsibilities
A. Responsible for Financial and Business planning
Sale margin planning for department store
Expenses - with respective function operation in sync current trend
Alignment with India Leadership on the Financial Plan
B. Leading the Midterm Business Strategy and Long-Term organization vision
C Finalization of Roll strategy in terms of Nos and Geography
Conceptualization of new business model/ format and development of new business/ financial model like Deep discount model or E-Commerce model
Instrumental of Proto Development - Format wise standard financial modelling with respect to geography/ town class and size/ level of stores
Driving the optimum supply chain strategy Logistics cost
D. MIS Reporting Forecasting For FMCG Analyze current and past financial data and performance to make recommendations on profit enhancement
Consistently analyze financial information based on both routine and ad-hoc reports.
Interpret financial data to recognize changing trends, patterns, and their meaning related to key performance indicators
Communicate financial insights suggesting business issues to management
Manage end-to-end accounting operations for our e-commerce business, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Perform regular reconciliation of financial data, including bank statements, sales transactions, and payment gateways.
Must be handled business planning from finance perspective, maintained investors MIS and presentation.
Must have exposure with FMCG sector.
Monitor and analyze the e-commerce business's P&L performance, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations to management.
Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions.
Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process and address any audit-related queries.
Maintain a strong understanding of e-commerce industry trends and accounting standards to ensure compliance.
Provide support and guidance to the finance team on e-commerce accounting processes and best practices.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws, GST regulations, and other relevant financial regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
Proven experience in financial analysis, business planning, and strategic decision support roles.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear and actionable insights.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and accounting principles (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
Minimum of 1 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on accounting. with omni and FMCG sector.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Must have skill of business strategy, business forecasting, business & Financial Planning, strategic management
Expertise in FMCG sector.
