Job Description:
• Clear understanding of reporting environment, this includes analysis, assessment and resolution for defects and incidents of advanced reporting and escalate them appropriately.
• Work independently to tackle well-scoped and loosely scoped problems regarding both business intelligence tools (MicroStrategy etc.) and data visualization artifacts (standard and ad hoc reports, queries, dashboards etc.)
• 7+ years of Business Intelligence, Data and ETL quality assurance and systems/application testing experience
• 5+ years of SQL and BI tool quality analyst experience (MicroStrategy experience preferred) with a strong understanding of databases and data structures.
• 2+ years of JIRA experience to login defects and communicate with the team members.
• Experience identifying issues with data and report formatting.
• 7+ years of quality assurance experience
• 2+ years of experience as a team member supporting and working with offshore resources in support of QA
• 5+ years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tools
• 2+ years of experience as a team member supporting and working with offshore resources in support of QA
• In-depth understanding of MicroStrategy Developer, Web and Enterprise Manager
• Working knowledge of dimensional data warehouse design
• Experience in performance tuning MicroStrategy reports and documents.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies
• Experience extracting and manipulating data from relational databases with advanced SQL, stored procedures.
• Experience with ETL tools is beneficial.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
