Job Description

At Streem, we’re all about helping Australia and New Zealand’s most influential organisations stay ahead of the news cycle. Leading the charge in ANZ media intelligence, we offer live monitoring of print, digital, TV, radio, podcasts, and social platforms to make sure our clients stay ahead of every story.

Media Analyst @ Streem

As our business continues to grow, we’re on the hunt for a Media Analyst to join our team. Love unravelling data, storytelling through insights, and shaping how organisations understand their media impact? This role is your chance to dive into the heart of media analysis, working with some of Australia and New Zealand’s biggest brands and senior communications leaders!

As part of our Insights team, you’ll transform media coverage into powerful reports that inform strategy, measure performance, and often get presented to C-suite and Board members. These reports are a highly bespoke and premium part of our offering to clients, helping them to make more informed decisions about their PR and communications strategies.

This is a dynamic role that ranges from designing queries and crunching data, to writing executive-ready commentary and delivering standout charts. As a Streem Media Analyst, you’ll be hands-on across the full reporting process.

A snapshot of what our Media Analysts do:

Analysing media coverage for sentiment, themes, and trends.
Writing Boolean queries to refine data searches and build reports.
Creating clean, design-led charts and data visualisations.
Identifying and writing key findings, insights, and executive summaries.
Owning a portfolio of client reports (monthly, quarterly, or bespoke).
Presenting insights to clients and supporting account managers.
Training and mentoring new team members as you grow.
Collaborating with Engineering, Product, and Sales on cross-team projects.
About You

This role is perfect for someone inquisitive, detail-oriented, and energised by media and communications. You’ll need to balance sharp analytical thinking with clear, engaging writing and thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused and deadline-driven environment.

What we’re looking for:

A degree in Media, Communications, Journalism (or similar).
2–3 years’ experience in media analysis, communications, or insights.
A strong interest in the Australian and/or New Zealand media landscape.
Great with data and detail, with the ability to draw conclusions from trends.
Positive, proactive, and ready to roll up your sleeves.
Bonus points if you’re confident with:

Google Suite, Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs), PowerPoint.
Writing reports that mix data and commentary seamlessly and succinctly.
Critically thinking about displaying data, designing graphs and editing reports.
Presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
Boolean queries (a big plus!).
Ready to take the next step?

Don't wait — new applications are being reviewed daily.
