Job Description:
A Mechanical Engineer at ARRA Group provides technical support across client sites in Western Australia, mainly in mining and heavy industry. The role involves helping with the design, maintenance, and improvement of mechanical equipment, as well as troubleshooting issues and supporting site teams. It requires a Mechanical Engineering qualification and relevant industry experience. The work may be based in workshops, plants, or remote sites, and sometimes involves high-risk tasks that require extra training or permits.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant industry experience in mining, heavy industry, power generation, or similar environments.
Current Medical including Drug & Alcohol screening (D&A must be obtained within 28 days before commencement of employment).
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating equipment, and heavy machinery.
Current WA Driver’s Licence (essential).
Experience working with heavy mining equipment such as Komatsu, Caterpillar, or similar machinery would be highly regarded.
Knowledge of reliability engineering, maintenance strategies, and asset management practices.
Experience using engineering software, CAD systems, and maintenance management systems (desirable).
