Daan Go Cake Lab is where creativity meets flavour! Founded by MasterChef Canada winner Christopher Siu, we specialize in fun, vibrant, and Instagrammable cakes, pastries, and desserts inspired by Asian flavours. We’re looking for a social media guru who loves all things food, content, and community engagement to help us grow our brand!
Responsibilities:
Content Creation
Plan, shoot, and edit fun, high-quality photo and video content (Reels, TikToks, stories, etc.)
Capture behind-the-scenes moments, product features, and customer joy at our stores or kitchen
Ensure everything feels very Daan Go—playful, premium, and irresistibly shareable
Social Media Management
Post regularly on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook with thoughtful timing and strategy
Write catchy, on-brand captions and choose relevant hashtags
Maintain a content calendar and keep media assets organized
Community Engagement
Respond to comments and DMs in a warm, friendly voice
Engage with local creators and customers to build our community
Find and support user-generated content, fan reposts, and sweet shoutouts
Campaign & Collab Support
Assist in launching seasonal promos, giveaways, and influencer collabs
Brainstorm creative, social-first ideas with the marketing team
Track content performance and share learnings to help us keep improving
Analytics & Trendspotting
Monitor insights and engagement metrics
Keep tabs on trending audio, food content, and social memes to keep us fresh and fun
Qualifications:
A dessert lover with a strong creative eye and a camera roll to prove it
You get social media—it’s where you live and where you thrive
You’re detail-oriented, organized, and love a good checklist
Experience with video editing apps (CapCut, InShot, Premiere, etc.) is a bonus
Excellent research skills with the ability to analyze data effectively.
Strong proofreading skills with attention to detail in all written communications.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Pay: From $17.20 per hour
