Job Description
Experience : 15 to 20 Years in Manufacturing Industry
I. Tooling Design & Setup:
• Assist in the Design & Development of fixtures, tackles, gauges, and special tools for Assembly, Testing, Painting, Packing, and Fabrication shops.
• Establish new fastening tools and assembly fixtures.
• Ensure proper system is in place for updated wear part, fixture, special gauges drawings and system documents.
• Process Strategy & NPI Support:
• Assist in establishing the Facility / Process for new Release Application codes or modified component designs.
• Establish best process and practices through market research for new tool implementation.
• Drive Continual improvement through Productivity and Quality improvement activities via Process Change Management.
• Vendor & Resource Management:
• Lead New vendor development for fixture spares, assembly tools, lifting tackles, and special gauges.
• Manage Resource management and coordination with Cross Functional Teams (CFTs).
• Prepare annual budget of ATPP tools, fixtures, and spares.
II. System Integration & Digital Data Management
• BOM & ERP Management:
• Ensure Timely release of E-BOM (Engineering) to M-BOM (Manufacturing) and verify the accuracy after release.
• Ensure implementation of Manufacturing BOM, assisting in creating new manufacturing groups and splitting of groups.
• Coordinate with AE and PPC for loose item definition in ERP and accuracy in Packing reports.
• Documentation & Compliance:
• Knowledge and hands-on experience of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) for Manufacturing BOM and Engineering BOM management.

A. Technical & Design
Knowledge of GD&T and Work holding devices (jigs/fixtures). Knowledge of component and assembly drawing. Knowledge of machining process and costing, and sheet metal working and tooling. AutoCad, 3D software.
B. Product Domain
Knowledge of Assembly, Testing, Painting and Packing process, preferably in Engine, Genset and Fabrication shop. Knowledge of tightening techniques and fastening tools. Knowledge of Engine and Genset terminology and their measurement methods.
C. Quality & Systems
Knowledge of systems ISO/TS, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, EHS, Kaizen/ 5S and lean manufacturing practices. Preferred knowledge of latest IOT enabled Tightening tools and technique.
D. Digital & Analysis
Hands-on experience of Manufacturing Module in Oracle (ERP). Proactive, innovative, analytical, with strong business acumen.
