Maintenance Helper

Island Lake Lodge is looking for someone to join our Maintenance team in the full-time summer position of Maintenance Helper. The ideal candidate will be organized with strong time-management skills, active-listening abilities and be able to work on their own without direction or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Assist with routine maintenance and projects.
Assist with upkeep of facilities + grounds as directed (sanding and staining buildings, furniture, yard work, garbage, monitoring guest parking, wildlife control etc.)
Supports Operations with; driving shuttles and SxS’s, freight pickups and deliveries, washing company vehicles and other duties as required.
Assist with Wedding and Events set ups and tear downs.
Assist with other departments as needed.
Job Requirements:

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be physically fit and able to lift 50lbs or more
Must have valid BC driver’s license, with a safe driving record.
Accommodate a flexible work schedule, Weekends, evenings and holidays.
Enjoy being in the mountains in all weather conditions.
A current First Aid certificate is an asset
Preference will be given to applicants that possess the following:

Good work ethic and attention to detail
Someone who is handy and willing to learn.
First aid Certificate
Class 4 driver’s license
