You are comfortable working independently and as part of a team, you can develop and maintain positive working relationships with your colleagues and other healthcare professionals you may interact with. Access to reliable personal transportation is required as some of the possible work sites do not have access to public transportation. This is a regular relief position that can be scheduled at any of the three locations: Trail South, Gateway and College PSC. This position does not hold a regular rotation, and shifts scheduled based on operational demand between the operational hours of 0700-1930 hours. This position works every third Saturday at Trail South between 0700-1530.

Description:
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:
Previous Phlebotomy experience and ECG certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
At least 2 years of recent phlebotomy experience. ECG experience.
