Full job description
We are seeking a qualified and diligent Lab Technician with a Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharma) to support the academic and practical training activities of the Pharmacy Department. The candidate will assist in preparing laboratory setups, maintaining lab equipment, guiding students during practical sessions, and ensuring smooth and safe laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and organize materials, chemicals, reagents, and equipment for pharmacy practical classes.
Assist faculty members in conducting practical sessions, experiments, and demonstrations.
Guide and supervise students in handling instruments and performing experiments safely and correctly.
Maintain laboratory cleanliness, equipment calibration, and proper storage of chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
Ensure the laboratory environment complies with safety and regulatory standards.
Keep accurate records of equipment, chemicals, and consumables inventory.
Assist in procurement and stock management of laboratory supplies.
Report equipment malfunctions or hazards promptly to the Head of Department.
Assist in setting up models, charts, and displays related to pharmacy education.
Support faculty in research and project activities if required.
Qualifications:

Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharma) from a recognized institution.
Registered with the relevant State Pharmacy Council (preferred but not always mandatory).
Skills and Competencies:

Knowledge of pharmacy lab instruments and basic pharmaceutical procedures.
Good understanding of laboratory safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to supervise students during lab activities.
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and students.
Basic computer skills (MS Office, record-keeping software).
Work Environment:

Pharmacy teaching laboratory within a college or educational institution.
Exposure to laboratory chemicals and pharmaceutical substances.
Regular working hours aligned with academic schedules; occasional extra hours during exams or special events.
Experience:

Freshers with strong practical knowledge are welcome.
1–2 years of experience in an academic or educational institution laboratory is an advantage.

Pay: ₹+,406.26 - ₹15,127.56 per month
