GL Renovations is looking for a motivated, hands-on individual who wants to build a long-term career in construction and restoration.

This is not a dead-end labour position.

GL Renovations is an established restoration rebuild contractor serving Winnipeg and surrounding areas, specializing in reconstruction and insurance restoration projects.

What You’ll Learn & Do

You will work alongside experienced tradespeople and gain hands-on experience in:

Drywall installation and repairs
Painting and finishing
Framing and rebuild carpentry
Insulation installation
Vapour barrier installation
Trim and finishing carpentry
Flooring installation and repairs
General restoration reconstruction work
Professional job site practices
Working in occupied homes and active project environments
Mudding / taping experience is a strong asset but not required.

Requirements

Required:

Minimum 1 year of construction or relevant hands-on experience
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
Strong manual dexterity
Good work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Comfortable with ladders and physically demanding work
Respirator capable
Comfortable working in dusty or damaged environments
Valid driver’s license
Reliable transportation
Mobile phone
Professional communication skills
Ability to follow instructions carefully
Criminal record check
Assets:

Drywall experience
Painting experience

Mudding / taping experience
Basic framing experience
