Senior Accountant

Job Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage daily accounting operations, legal compliances, and Management Information System (MIS) reporting for our consumer goods company based in Agra. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, statutory compliances, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss accounts in accordance with accounting standards.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory returns such as GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
• Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with labor laws and taxation.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports for management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to provide financial insights.
• Ensure all financial records are maintained in compliance with legal and company policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities for audits and assessments.
• Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and implement necessary compliance measures.

Key Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA/ICWA preferred but not mandatory).
• Proven experience in handling daily accounting, statutory compliances, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, ERP, or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other relevant legal compliances.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the consumer goods sector.
• Experience with MIS reporting and financial analysis.
• Familiarity with audit procedures and working with regulatory authorities.
